History, Culture & Island Charm on a Timeless Aegean Voyage
Discover the beauty of the South Dodecanese Islands on a one-of-a-kind gulet cruise that blends turquoise bays, ancient wonders, and the enchanting spirit of the Aegean. Departing from Bodrum, this carefully curated route takes you through Greek island gems like Kos, Nisyros, Symi, and Rhodes before returning to the unspoiled shores of Turkey.
Your journey begins at 15:30 from Bodrum Harbor, where your gulet awaits. After settling in, we set sail around 16:00 for a refreshing swim at Aquarium Bay or head straight to Kos Island, depending on the schedule. If you arrive in Bodrum early, enjoy a visit to the Castle of St. Peter, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, or one of the nearby beaches before boarding.
Explore Kos, the birthplace of Hippocrates and home to the ancient Asclepion, once the most advanced medical center of its time. Wander through the town’s rich layers of history—Medieval castles, Roman baths, ancient stadiums, and the famed Tree of Hippocrates. Kos offers a unique blend of old and new, along with vibrant island life, sun-soaked beaches, and local flavors.
We sail early toward Nisyros Island, with a swim stop at nearby Giali Island. Take an optional excursion to the island’s active volcanic crater, where steam still rises from the earth. Later, we cruise to the postcard-perfect harbor of Symi, famous for its pastel-colored neoclassical houses, pine-covered hills, and tranquil bays. Enjoy dinner on board or explore the harbor’s charming tavernas.
Arriving in Rhodes, the largest of the Dodecanese Islands, you’ll step into a world of knights, castles, and cobbled streets. Explore the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with grand stone gates, the Palace of the Grand Master, and a rich blend of Ottoman, Italian, and Byzantine architecture. After dinner, you’re invited to experience the buzzing nightlife of Rhodes Town.
We return to Turkish shores via the peaceful town of Datça. With its fresh, dry air and legendary climate, Datça was praised by ancient historian Strabo for extending life. Take a stroll through the harbor or unwind at Kargı Bay, a secluded spot perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
Following a relaxed morning in Datça, we cruise to the fascinating ruins of Cnidus, an ancient city known for its advancements in science, medicine, and architecture. Explore temples, theaters, and the remnants of a once-thriving harbor city. Enjoy a peaceful evening in this historically rich setting.
On your final full day, we cruise toward Karaada, or Black Island, famous for its hot springs and turquoise waters. After a final swim at Poyraz Bay, we make our way back to Bodrum Harbor for a farewell dinner onboard and your last night under the Aegean stars.
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to your gulet and crew. Disembarkation takes place by 10:00 AM, leaving you with lasting memories of an unforgettable journey through the Aegean’s southern wonders.
