Explore the Aegean’s Timeless Shores – From Turkish Bays to Greek Island Charm
Sail from Marmaris and embark on a journey that blends the rich coastline of Turkey with the timeless charm of the South Dodecanese Greek Islands. This exclusive itinerary takes you through turquoise coves, ancient ports, and vibrant island villages—offering the perfect balance of culture, history, and relaxation aboard your private gulet.
Your adventure begins at 15:30 from Marmaris Port. Depending on the timing of customs formalities, your gulet will either cruise to Paradise Bay or Turunç Bay for a refreshing swim—or, if paperwork is completed early, directly to Rhodes or Kos Island for an overnight mooring. Early arrivals in Marmaris are welcome to explore the Old Town, marina, or local beaches before boarding.
Enjoy breakfast while your captain briefs you on the route ahead. Then we set sail for the impressive Bozukkale, also known as Loryma, a spectacular bay lined with pine trees and ancient ruins. Here, remnants of a rectangular Hellenistic fortress overlook the sea—a former naval base used by both Athenian commanders and warriors preparing to besiege Rhodes. Dinner and overnight in this atmospheric bay.
After a peaceful morning cruise, we stop for swimming and lunch in Dirsekbükü, a popular yachting bay known for its crystal-clear waters. In the afternoon, we arrive in Bozburun, a quiet fishing village famed for its traditional gulet-building craftsmanship. Once known for sponge-diving, the village has since become a charming haven for blue cruise lovers. Spend the evening soaking up the slow pace of this authentic coastal town.
We start the day cruising to Bencik Bay, known for its narrow entrance and stunning panoramic views. This secluded spot once served as a strategic hideout during the Persian invasions. Later in the afternoon, we sail to Datça, a lively harbor town nestled between the Aegean and Mediterranean. Known for its clean air and laid-back charm, Datça is the perfect place to stroll along the promenade or enjoy dinner by the sea.
After completing customs procedures, we head across the sea to Symi, one of the most picturesque Greek islands. The harbor is a postcard-perfect scene of pastel-colored neoclassical mansions rising from the sea. Wander through quaint alleys, shop for local crafts, or swim in one of the many hidden bays nearby. Symi’s natural beauty and elegant architecture leave a lasting impression.
We depart early for Rhodes, the largest of the Dodecanese islands and a living museum of layered history. Enclosed by 12-meter-thick medieval walls, Rhodes Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you’ll discover the Palace of the Grand Master, cobbled lanes, Ottoman-era buildings, and lively squares. Guests are encouraged to enjoy a night out in Rhodes Town, famous for its atmospheric bars, tavernas, and cultural charm.
We return to Turkish waters, completing customs in Marmaris before enjoying one last swim at the nearby Cennet (Paradise) Island. In the evening, we dock once again in Marmaris Harbor, where you can enjoy a final dinner onboard or explore the vibrant marina and waterfront nightlife.
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye. Disembarkation is by 10:00 AM, taking with you unforgettable memories of sun-drenched shores, ancient cities, and the magic of the Aegean Sea.
