You can walk in the early morning when the promenade is empty and the sea smooth like a blanket. It gives a completely different impression than when you see Marmaris in the daytime. We would suggest walking along the promenade to the next village called; Icmeler. It’s a 10 km walk from beginning to the end, but definitely worth walking!
Possibly the best time of day to take photos is during the morning hours – especially in the Spring and Summer months when the surroundings are decorated in so many shades of rich colors. Today was one of those mornings, ideal for a few captures. A May morning on our way to the Marmaris harbor, we took photos of the boats which were anchored in the bay and waterfront area.
It was a peaceful time of day and the reflections in the water just made the captures all the more beautiful. This was particularly true with the boats that were painted in vibrant colors – red and blue being the most eye-catching.
From gulet charters and bareboats to fisherman’s boats; it was a delightful atmosphere to enjoy while on a walk along the long-stretched promenade. The season has started and as we go further into the summer months, the harbor will be filled with a high volume of Turkish yacht charter traffic.
One of the many gulets we saw was the Aura. She went through a refit this winter, and a delightful boat to charter.
