What Destinations are Available on Mediterranean Yacht Charters?

The destinations available are endless in the Mediterranean. Yacht charters in Turkey are only limited in destination choices based on the yacht you decide to hire since each charter yacht is based in a different harbor in Turkey. The only other restrictions could include the yacht itself as there are yachts not equipped to travel outside of Turkish waters or long distances and open seas. One other point that could limit your yacht charter destination picks is your budget. If you were looking to charter a boat from one location to travel more than the included 4 hours’ cruise, then you might have to pay more for fuel. Alternatively you will need to keep your distances within the parameters of what has already been put together for itineraries in the Mediterranean region of Turkey.

For instance if you embarked on your blue cruise Turkey holiday from Marmaris and wanted to cruise all the way to Antalya harbor or even further to say, Cyprus; not only will it cost more in fuel but it would also require more than a standard weeks’ journey to complete the route without rushing your vacation leisure time – as there is quite a distance of open seas in between. This last point is more applicable to sailing yachts or gulet cruises – and not so much for motor yacht charters (again depending on the motor yacht you charter).

The main harbors in the Mediterranean sea of Turkey to embark from are Bodrum, Marmaris, Gocek, Fethiye and Antalya. From these ports travelers can plan itineraries to the other areas of Southern Turkey and the Greek Islands. There are nearly countless routes that can be planned; however the standard itineraries will cruise in Turkey to private bay, secluded coves, big and small islands, bustling harbors, ancient cities and impressive architectural ruins. Within all these places there are great biking and hiking paths that you can take to explore a bit inland to find even more historical sites, villages, and more.

Your itinerary for a private yacht charter in Turkey can vary depending on the type of holiday you wish to have. This can be based on the activities and water sports you would be interested in doing; the ages of your group, your fascination for history, how active or how leisure you wish to spend your time… and the list goes on. 🙂

The best way to plan and organize your holidays is to outline your expectations and ideas to your yacht charter agent and let them help guide you to a designing a fantastic itinerary – one that will leave you with precious and exciting memories to take back home.
