Renown for medieval city walls, over a thousand islands, stunning natural scenery and national parks, refreshing turquoise waters and well preserved historical sites, Croatia is one destination of the Eastern Med worth the visit – at least once in your lifetime.

A fantastic way to really take in all its pleasures and treasures is by sea. Chartering a boat holiday makes for seeing the best of both land and sea. From the high end yachts to the traditional catering and cuisine plus local hospitality of classic Dalmatia boat charters to sailing cruises – if you visit Croatia, the islands are definitely a must.  It’s one of the main reasons why travellers choose to visit Croatia. 🙂

In recent years Croatia has become a unique holiday destination – and well deserved after so much has happened with rebuilding and rebuilding again. It is truly a magical place, while retaining its local charm, for all ages and traveler styles.

There are eight national parks, 2 strict reserves, 10 nature parks – from which the oldest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site; Plitvice Lakes National Park. There is also the Velebit Nature Park.

While the most popular and convenient harbors to embark from in Croatia’s Adriatic coastline are the historical cities of Split and Dubrovnik – with easy access from the airports.

Some charter boats in Croatia also embark from Sibenik and Rovinj as well. Before leaving on your seafaring journey, touring these harbor cities may add for more interesting experiences to your Croatia holiday travels. Once you embark or disembark, you might not have that time to go sightseeing in some of the world’s most impressive ancient sites.

Most popular islands to visit on your Adriatic yacht charter vacation could include Krk,  Kornati archipelago in the Northern Dalmatia coast; and Šolta, Brač, Hvar, Vis, Korčula, Lastovo, Mljet – includes a national park, Šipan  and Žut.
