If many people who love the sea have met with a gulet holiday, they do not want to give up this pleasant holiday model. Likewise, we can write similar words for motor yacht charter.
Blue voyage is undoubtedly one of the first things that come to mind when the Mediterranean sea is mentioned. The blue cruise holiday, whose history goes back to 1945, has developed in different concepts since then and has taken its current form. It has been a yacht charter holiday where people go daily or weekly with boats where they seek hotel comfort and luxury on boats. Boat crews serving only you during your holiday and magnificent Aegean-Mediterranean cuisine.
The boat holiday is indispensable for holiday makers with its magnificent nature, bays, islands and popular harbor visits.
What are the differences between a gulet holiday & motor yacht charter?
Wooden boats on one side and motor yachts on the other. Which would you prefer?
If you do not know the answer to this, please continue reading this article.
For a gulet holiday, you need to rent wooden boats. Although gulets have larger areas than motor yachts, they cruise more slowly. There are one or two engines on the gulets, where you can enjoy a nice cruise and watch the environment. There are different gulets between 2 cabins and 16 cabins for guests to stay. An average of 2 people can stay in each cabin, and even 3 people can stay in some cabins. The new gulets built recently, now the luxury comfort is at the forefront. You can also see a jacuzzi in the master cabins or a jacuzzi on the deck on some of these boats, which looks like luxury hotel comfort.
While cabin standards may be air-conditioned, TV, en suite, hair dryer, yacht bed linen and towel sets are among the standards. At the same time, the crew is present for food and beverage service.
On some luxury boats, water sports can be found. As an example; water ski, canoe, paddle board, wake board, banana and jet ski, although not on boats, are among those available.
The length of the gulets can vary between 15 meters and 42 meters. Their width can vary between 4 meters and 10 meters. Every gulet is completely different from each other because it is not factory made but completely handcrafted. In Turkey, different ports such as Bodrum, Bozburun, Fethiye, Antalya and Istanbul have their own gulet builders. The craftsmen who make the hulls of the boats and the cabin masters may differ.
Motor yachts, on the other hand, are branded and factory-made, so you may have the chance to see these models wherever you are in the world. Motor yachts produced according to the brand and model normally have narrower spaces than gulets. While providing blue cruise service with less number of passengers, they can generally be in more luxurious comfort. This may vary depending on the boat and model. In general, we do not see much water sports on motor yachts with 2-3 cabins, but it is possible to see the sought-after water sports on motor yachts with 4-5-6 cabins.
On the gulets, the front deck, the back deck area and in some of the flybridge areas offer large social areas to the guests. In motor yachts, this situation is somewhat limited. Motor yachts with 2-3-4 cabins have a back deck and flybridge area.
Another issue is; It will be about the physical features of the boats as well as the expense fees that the guests will pay.
In Turkey gulet holidays, guests pay extra for food and drink, apart from the boat rental fee they will pay. Gulet charter prices include municipality port fees, agency costs, luxury gulet cruise diesel.
Food and beverage expenses, crew tip, private marina fees, customs fees at international waters, agency expenses, foreign island taxes, land tour fees, water sports fuel fees and airport fees must be paid extra.
The situation is a little different during a motor yacht holiday in Turkey. For motor yachts, an expense budget, which we call APA, is taken in advance from the guests. This budget is used by the yacht captain for all the needs of the guest and the boat, within the knowledge of the guest. This APA includes all costs such as cruise fuel fee, fuel fee for water sports use, crew tip, food and beverage expense fee, port fees and taxes, customs fees at departure to international waters, agency expenses, foreign island taxes, land tour fees. variable costs are included. The amount of APA constitutes 25%-30% of the boat rental price. If APA is not enough during the tour, the captain may request an extra budget from the guest. Even if the APA is enough or even a little more during the tour, the captain returns the excess amount to the guest.
Both methods are made according to the boat and it is ensured that the guests enjoy their sea holidays to the maximum extent. We look forward to your Turkey yacht charter holiday as soon as possible.
