Renting a Boat in Turkey for August

One can always find a boat to rent in August. However the selection is not as wide as if you were to start looking earlier in the year.  By the time you near the month of June, many of the most popular boats with the more favorable charter prices, are already booked for August.

This year in 2013, the most popular weeks so far have been between 3 – 10 August and 17 – 24 August. One of the reasons for the  popularity in 3 – 10 August is because the Ramadan holidays fall into that week.  This is when most of the local Turkish travelers decide to book their holidays as well.  Another reason is that it is the time when many of the European holidaymakers decide to go on holidays too.

A good number of the Turkish gulet owners will tend to not offer any discounts for the first week.  Therefore private boat charters in Turkey are particularly more advantageous after this week.

If you ask when it is the best time to rent a boat in Turkey, this can be any time of the year.  However, it may be that January through to the first week of April, will offer you not only more choice but also better negotiating advantages.  This is especially possible for gulet charters and motor yacht rentals.
