You will be picked up from the hotel, after breakfast. Then driven to Pamukkale – the center of natural thermal spring waters with healing properties. Due of the chemical properties in the water, stepped water terraces and pure white colored travertine have been created on a mountain slope. It is for its similarity to cotton piles that it is called “Cotton Castle” in Turkish. Visit the travertines and the Ancient City of Hierapolis – the biggest Nekropol with 1200 gravestones in Anatolia. The sacred pool also is one of the highlights of the site. The shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient roman ruins which lie beneath. After your visit, there will be a transfer back to hotel.
Ephesus Tour. Overnight in Sirince Village.
After a short and scenic drive, a visit to the House of Virgin Mary where she was believed to spend her last years together with St. John in the vicinity of Ephesus; Then it is off to Ephesus, the best-preserved ancient city in Turkey and the place to get a feel for what life was like in Roman times. The region is famous for its baths, temples, marble streets, great theatre and Celsius library. It’s situated in the productive Ionian landscape and has been known throughout history for its temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Ephesus is one of the most extensive archeological sites in the world. After a splendid lunch in the town of Selcuk, there will be a visit to St. John’s Basilica and the Ephesus Museum. The tour will end with a drive back to your hotel.

The tour begins in the morning with the world famous lunar landscape of Cappadocia. It starts with the rock formations beyond imagination in Devrent valley. Then there is a walking tour in the Zelve Open Air Museum – taking you back to the past with its troglodyte houses. The next stop is in Pasabag where you will see the three coned fairy chimneys. It is said that the voice of the wind mixes with the songs of the fairies.
You and your group will enjoy a lunch in ancient Avanos. This little town has been the center of terra cotta world since 3000 B.C.
In the afternoon everyone will be visiting the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site; the Göreme Open Air Museum and see the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia as rock-cut churches with frescoes and paintings (10th & 13th Century). It is recommended to have Turkish coffee right across the red valley and relax before returning to your hotel. Depending on the time of year, the Goreme Open Air Museum visit time can be altered to avoid crowds of tour buses. A visit to the Dark Church is also included in this tour.

In the heart of Cappadocia, you will be visiting the Red Valley, with its amazing volcanic rock formations. Rock-Cut hermit churches with frescoes and paintings fit with the Valley’s meditative atmosphere, remained intact since the beginning. A lovely hike will start from a breathtaking panoramic point offering good light in the morning for photos. After the hike there will be a refreshment break in Cavusin village. This visit will be complemented with a visit to the John the Baptist Church – the 1st church of the area. Lunch will be experienced in a local restaurant. After lunch, a 20 minute drive will lead us to the UNESCO heritage site; the Kaymakli Underground city. Unlike other underground cities, Kaymakli offers a different ventilation and security system. Only four of the eight floors is open to visitors and believed to have shelter 60,000 people from persecution and loots.
